PURPOSE:To achieve a separating operation efficiently with a reduction in the time and labor therefor, by adding a reference spectrum to an energy spectrum, for which it is separated, again before performing a main separating operation, when a residual peak exists after the reference spectrum is separated from the energy spectrum. CONSTITUTION:A distribution curve such as Gaus distribution and Lorentz distribution is selected for peaks P1 and P2 included in an energy spectrum obtained by measuring a sample and peak position, expansion rate or the like thereof are adjusted to make the curve fit the peaks P1 and P2 so that reference spectrums S1 and S2 are generated (a) and (b). Thereafter, the spectrums S1 and S2 are subtracted from the energy spectrum to separate. At this point, when residual peaks P1, P2 and P3 exist as shown by (c), the spectrum S1 thus separated is added to the energy spectrum again after the separation thereof and a distribution curve is selected as previously, and a new reference spectrum S'1 is formed (d) to make the curve fit peaks. Then, the spectrum S'1 is separated (e) by subtraction. |
