The optical connector plug 24 is in contact with the optical connector adaptor 22-B and the pressure sensor 32 detects the pressure, then the control of 1st and 2nd control stages 27, 28 is turned off and the control of the 3rd moving stage 29 remains OFF. Thus, when the 3rd moving stage 29 is gradually advanced, the optical connector plug 24 is advanced while being moved automatically to the center axis of the optical connector adaptor 22-B by the chamfering 36 of the optical connector adaptor 22-B and the optical connector plug 24 themselves and inserted into the optical connector adaptor 22-B.
