<p>PURPOSE:To increase the safety by calculating the headlight angle data in vertical direction on the basis of output from sensing of the running speed of a car, changing the headlight angle in vertical direction in accordance with the obtained data, and performing optimum lighting to suit the running speed. CONSTITUTION:A speed sensing part 1 senses the running speed of car, and a control part 5 calculates the angle data for the headlight 6 in vertical direction on the basis of output from said speed sensing part 1, and then the headlight angle in vertical direction is changed in accordance with the angle data given by said control part 5. In the concrete, the headlight 6 is faced down to cast the beam to a spot nearer the car when the car speed is low, while it 6 shall look less down to cast the beam farther when the car speed is higher. This allows the car to have the optimum lighting in accordance with its running speed, which should enhance the safety during operation at nighttime.</p> |
