PURPOSE:To allow a communication controller CCU to decide the abnormality of a reception part by supplying data for a test stored in an ROM to the reception part by a test command from the CCU. CONSTITUTION:When the test indication signal from the CCU arrives at a circuit adapter 2, selector 4 and an interface circuit 5 are disconnected and the output of the ROM8 is connected to a receive data line 11. Test serial data is sent to the reception part of a transmission/reception control circuit 3 after said connection, and composed into a character there and sent to the CCU. The CCU compares the received data with the tested data to obtain the result of the test of the reception part of the circuit adapter 2. |
