This ignition coil in which means for holding secondary 21 and primary 11 windings supported consist of radial fingers 12 accommodated on the bobbin 10 of the primary winding 11 while projecting with respect to the outer diameter of the said winding 11 and cooperating with cavities accommodated in the other bobbin 20, in which cavities the said fingers 12 are anchored, is notable in that the cavities consist of elastic strips 22a and 22b of material inside the bobbin 20 opposite the radial fingers 12 accommodated on the primary bobbin 10, the strips 22a and 22b being inclined alternately in symmetrically opposing directions, the distance "E" between the bearing ends of two consecutive strips 22a and 22b being approximately equal to the thickness "E1" of the ends of the radial fingers 12. <IMAGE>
