<p>PURPOSE:To enable printing to be interrupted according to a code sent from an external data processor, by a system wherein when control data designating stoppage of printing of data stored in a storage means is received by a receiving means, forced paper-discharge or deletion of the data relevant to the designation of stoppage of printing is performed according to the control data. CONSTITUTION:Data sent from a data processor 1 are once stored in an external file buffer 2, and are then outputted to a printer system 10, for enhancing the throughput of the data processor 1. The printer system 10 comprises a bit map system data processor 3, a printing engine 4, and auxiliary devices such as an external paper-supplying unit 5 and a sorter 6. A bit map controlling part 30 is provided together with an R-buffer 304 as a buffer for communication with the external devices 1, 2, and a P-buffer 305 for converting data into intermediate codes and storing the intermediate codes. In the case of deletion of data, the use of control codes make it possible to delete the data on a page basis or a file basis. To delete data for a page being currently printed, the data ranging to a PAGE.EJECT code are deleted.</p> |
