Device for measuring the harvesting area and harvesting time on harvesting machines. The aim of the invention is a device which records the harvesting time and the harvested area with high accuracy. The device consists of a known pulse counter which is located on the control desk of the harvesting machine and which is connected to a travelling-distance transmitter and is switched on by a switch, according to the invention the switch being designed and arranged in such a way that it is actuated only by the harvesting material.
