MAGNETIC CORE FOR CHOKE COIL

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the characteristics in the high inductance region of the low current side and the DC superposition characteristics by a method wherein a closed core is composed of amorphous material which has the positive magnetostriction and is impregnated with resin and this closed core is combined with a core with a gap. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous core of the positive magnetostriction is impregnated with resin and made hard to be saturated. This core is combined with a core with a gap and a choke coil core is obtained. A choke coil composed of this core has smaller drop of the inductance L than that of a choke coil composed of a conventional amorphous core and has the excellent non-linear characteristics in the high frequency characteristics with which the inductance L can be maintained above a certain level to the large current region. An amorphous core is preferrable as the core with the gap because it has higher saturated flux density than a ferrite core and the excellent frequency characteristics. If epoxy system resin is used as the impregnating resin, desirable results are obtained with regard to the adhesion strength and the like.
