PURPOSE:To reduce the height of a seat cushion by arranging a driving member in the body side wall on the side part of the seat cushion and installing a power transmitting member for moving the seat cushion in the longitudinal direction by the power of the driving member between the driving member and the seat cushion. CONSTITUTION:As for a rear seat 2 of a car, an upper rail 5 is fixed onto the undersurface of the seat frame 4 of a seat cushion 3, and a lower rail 6 fitted onto the upper rail 5 is fixed onto a bracket 9 on a floor panel 8 jointed with the side shill 7 in the lower part of a body. A bracket 11 is fixed onto the outside surface of the upper rail 5, and a screw shaft 12 extending in the longitudinal direction is installed. Further, an electric motor 15 fitted onto a base plate 17 is installed in the body side wall consisting of the inner and outer plates 24 and 25 on the side part of the seat cushions 3, and the screw shaft 12 is moved in the longitudinal direction through a gear box 16 by the drive of the motor 15, and the seat cushion 3 is slided in the longitudinal direction. |
