A toy merry-go-round has a horizontal disc (4) mounted on a vertical supporting column (2) for rotation about the vertical axis thereof and having, at its lower side, a carrying means (3) with at least one horizontal carrying shaft (8). Each carrying shaft is adapted to carry a car (7) in a pivotal manner substantially perpendicular to the rotational direction of the disc and is provided, at both ends, with stop means (9b) preventing axial detachment of the car from the carrying shaft (8). The car (7) has an upper hanger portion (7a) for hanging the car on the carrying shaft (8), and a lower car portion (7c) connected with the hanger portion by means of two side members (7b) located on each side of the carrying shaft when the car is mounted thereon. The carrying shaft is formed by two journals (8). The extent of the side members (7b) in the direction of the carrying shaft, at least in the area adjacent to the carrying shaft, is smaller than the distance between the journals (8). |
