PURPOSE:To obtain a recording material having an excellent stability of a color-formed image and meeting other conditions of qualification by employing p-substituted aminophenylindolylphthalide derivatives as a clear dye and a special organic acid as an electron receptive compound. CONSTITUTION:For this recording material, p-substituted aminophenylindolylphtalide derivative is employed as an electron donative clear dye and an organic acid having more than one phenylhydroxyl group as an electron receptive compound. Among the p-substituted aminophenylindolylphthalide derivatives, the one expressed by the genral formula (1) is preferable. In the mentioned formula, R and R' represent the alkyl group, although they may be the same or different, R1 and R2 the alkyl or aryl group, although they may be the same or different, X the hydrogen atom, alkyl group, alkoxy group, allyloxy group or halogen atom, Y, Y' and Z the hydrogen atom, alkyl group, halogen atom, substitutite amino group or alkoxy group. |
