The present invention concerns a respiratory ventilator for patients with reduced respiratory capacity and is primarily intended to be used by patients with obvious inadequate ventilation, i.e. a reduced respiratory capacity both day and night combined with increased respiratory work and cardiac load as a result of an increased resistance in the pulmonary circulation. The object of the invention is to make available a simple and thereby easy-to-use, silent-running, energy-efficient and portable respiratory ventilator. This object is achieved by the fact that the ventilator is equipped with a dual- action and electrically operated M bellows BG consisting of two coaxial bellows halves BG1, BG2 which, in combination with a circuitry system and a microprocessor, mean that the bellows only need to work during the inhalation phase, i.e. one third of the overall time of the respiratory cycle. <IMAGE> |
