Arrangement for cooling a nuclear power plant, comprising a reactor core, a reactor pressure vessel, and a containment. A cooling device (9, 10) is connected to the containment (1) that can supply coolant, such as cold water, to the containment (1) automatically, as a function of the pressure difference between the coolant to be supplied and the pressure in the containment (1).
