A sealing device for a rotary engine is described, which contains a housing with a rotor chamber in which a disc-shaped rotor is rotatably mounted. The rotor contains radially movable reciprocating pistons, the inner face of each of which borders on an associated working chamber, which is connected to a fluid passage which opens in a paraxial area of that face of the rotor remote from the shaft. The housing contains fluid lines for the admission of working fluid to the working chambers and its discharge therefrom. For the fluid-tight connection of fluid passages of the housing to the fluid lines of the rotor, a sealing device with a rotor-side and a housing-side sealing part is provided, which sealing parts form two sealing surfaces bearing on one another. One of the fluid lines runs in the housing-side sealing part, supported so that it is axially displaceable, obliquely from a piece concentric with respect to the rotor axis to a piece eccentric with respect to the rotor axis in such a way that the working fluid under outlet pressure does not exert any tilting moment on this sealing part.
