Drum-brake device for bicycle hubs, with a fixable brake carrier for the pivotable mounting of the brake shoes, which can be expanded by a brake cam against a surrounding brake drum connected coaxially to the hub sleeve. The brake-shoe arrangement comprises three brake shoes, two of the brake shoes being hinged opposite one another on a fixed pivot on the brake carrier, one of these brake shoes being connected at its free end to an abutment. Pivotably hinged at the free end of the other brake shoe hinged on the fixed pivot is a third brake shoe which is connected at the free end to a second abutment, such that the two abutments enclose the brake cam, upon the rotation of which the entire brake-shoe arrangement comes into contact in the brake drum. <IMAGE>
