PURPOSE:To control plural equipments different in transmitting and receiving format by one infrared remote controller by measuring the modulated carrier cycle of an infrared code signal through a modulated carrier cycle measuring counter and controlling a transmission. CONSTITUTION:An infrared modulated transmission code from an equipment to be controlled received by an infrared light receiving element 11 is stored in a storage circuit 14 through a receiving circuit 12, a control circuit 13 or the like. In this circuit 14, the modulated carrier cycle of the transmission code signal measured through the modulated carrier cycle measuring counter 21 is also stored. Then, when the receiving code signal of the circuit 14 according to the designation of a keyboard 16 is returned to an original signal, the corresponding modulated carrier cycle is also supplied, a controlling infrared modulated code signal is outputted by a modulation circuit 22, an output circuit 17 and an infrared light emitting element 18 o the like and a designated equipment is remotely controlled. According to this constitution, the plural sets of the equipments such as a TV, a VTR different in the transmitting and receiving format can be remotely controlled by one infrared remote controller. |
