PURPOSE:To raise the temperature of thermal deformation without deterioration in magnetic characteristics of the title resin magnet by a method wherein potassium titanate fibers are blended into the main material consisting of magnetic powder, resin and an additive agent. CONSTITUTION:The potassium titanate fibers of 0.5-5 pts. wt. are blended in the main material of 100 pts. wt. consisting of magnetic powder of 80-95 wt. %, resin of 5-20 wt. % and a small quantity of additive agent. The potassium titanate fibers are a synthetic inorganic ccmpound, which is not naturally produced, indicated by a general formula K2O . nTiO2 (provided that n = 2-8), and pertaining to its form of fiber, the needle-shaped fibers of 0.5-2.0 mum in diameter and 10-50 mum in length, for example, are considered suitable. Also, said potassium titanate fibers may be blended into the main material of the magnet in the state as they are. However, the effect in improvement of heat-resisting property can be increase by performing a surface treatment using a coupling agent before the potassium titanate fibers are blended into the main material. Titanate or silane and the like can be used as the material suitable for the coupling agent. |
