PURPOSE:To attempt compactness of an engine by transmitting rotation of one cam shaft to a pair of valve system cam shafts inside each cylinder and transmitting the rotation of these valve system cam shafts to a pair of valve system cam shafts outside each cylinder. CONSTITUTION:In an engine 1, a pair of engine blocks 2 and 3 which share one crank shaft 4 are arranged in the V shape, and valve system can shafts 6 through 9 are provided two by two on top of both the engine blocks 2 and 3 respectively. In this constitution, the two valve system cam shafts 7 and 8 arranged inside and the crank shaft 4 are connected together in a link by a belt 12. Also, the two valve system cam shafts 6 and 9 arranged outside are enabled to be driven through each transmission belt 20, 21 and so forth by the inside valve system can shafts 7 and 8. And the valve system cam shafts 7 and 8 are driven by the crank shaft 4, and the valve system cam shafts 6 and 9 are driven by the valve system cam shafts 7 and 8. |
