PURPOSE:To stably obtain a copied image having high resolving power and high image quality by using a photosensitive body which has a surface reformed layer essentially consisting of alpha-Si and contg. at least one kind among C, N and O and having a specific value of the weight average grain size of a toner. CONSTITUTION:A block layer 5 consisting of a-Si:Y:H(X) 5 which is heavily added with a group IIIA element and contains one of reforming atoms Y of C, O and N is superposed on an Al substrate 2. X denotes a halogen. An electric charge transfer layer 3 consisting of a-Si:Y:H(X) 3 which is lightly added with the group IIIA element and contains one of the reforming atoms Y and an electric charge generating layer 4 consisting of a-Si:Y:H(X) 4 which is lightly added with the group IIIA element at need via a-Si:Y:H(X) 7 contg. one of the Y at the ratio lower than in the layer 3 are then superposed thereon. Continuous production using the same materials with the same device is possible according to the above-mentioned constitution; in addition, the control of the photosensitive layer and the surface reformed layer is easy. The copied image having the high resolving power and high image quality is obtd. by using the toner having <=6mum weight average grain size. |
