<p>PURPOSE:To improve the stackability of sheets, by installing a retractable stopper in the front end of a sheet stacking device and also a sheet front end truing auxiliary device which energizes a front end of the sheet bundle stacked on the sheet stacking device in the stopper direction and trues up the said front end. CONSTITUTION:When a copy is discharged out of a pair of rollers 4 and 5, this copy is guided by a guide bar 6 and advances forward so as to go along on a tray 10. After the specified time lag since a rear end of the copy has been detected, side guides 7 hold both sides of the copy in between, bringing it to the specified position in the width direction, while a front-rear truing bar 9 is rotated as far as the preset angle according to copy size. If so, the copy advances on the tray 10 is cooperation with its own weight, and the front end comes into contact with an end stopper 13, thus it is brought to the specified position in the longitudinal direction. The copy group stacked like this is moved up to a reference position as keeping it held by the side guide 7 intact and then stapled. Next, the stopper 13 is retracted to the lower part from a mounting surface of the tray 10, thus bookbinding is discharged.</p> |
