The transport base according to the invention is specifically intended for flat objects, such as prefabricated construction elements, at least one flat object being placed in substantially vertical position on the transport base. The transport base has supporting devices for the said flat objects for supporting the same in the lateral direction. The transport base comprises at least one set S of anchoring members 4, to which the pillars 5, or the like which project from the transport base and act as supporting device are connected.
