PURPOSE:To enable a resin flow in a runner to be controlled arbitrarily and quickly by rotation of a cylindrical insert by a method in which the cylindrical insert which is rotatable and has the runner-engraved part provided at the end surface thereof is fitted onto an arbitrary position in the runner from one end of a sprue to a gate portion. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical insert 12 having a larger diameter than the width of a runner 9 is freely rotatably fitted onto an arbitrary position of the runner of a mold, and a part of a runner 14 is provided on the end surface thereof. When the part of the runner 14 provided on the end surface of the cylindrical insert 12 is in the same direction as the runner 9 of the mold, the resin can flow, and when said part of the runner 14 is rotated at right angle to the runner 9, the resin flow is stopped, whereby selection of molding cavities 5, 6 may be achieved instantly and arbitrarily in molding operation. By rotating the cylindrical insert 12, the resin flow may be controlled at any time, and the construction may be simplified as a whole. |
