PURPOSE:To improve linearity, by a method wherein, in a device which detects a magnetic field, generated by leak magnetic flux, by means of a magnetic sensor mounted to a rod, a change in leak magnetic flux due to movement of the rod is prevented from production through formation of the rod by using a non-magnetic material. CONSTITUTION:A part of a non-magnetic pipe 7 is formed by elongated magnetic plates 13a and 13b, being a magnetic passage forming material, which are positioned facing each other. A permanent magnet 14 is secured between the lower ends of the magnetic plates 13a and 13b and a pair of permanent magnet is 25 and 16 are secured between the upper ends thereof. A pair of the permanent magnets 25 and 26 are interconnected through a ring 24 made of a magnetic material, and a rod 23 is engaged internally of the ring 24. In the rod 23, the material of the rod 23 produces a non-magnetic material through location of the ring 24. Since a change in the flow of leak magnetic flux 17 can be prevented from production by making the rod by using a non-magnetic material, linearity of the output of a magnetic sensor 10 can be improved. |
