<p>PURPOSE:To reduce noise created by resonance by a method wherein a ballast main part, which is constituted by cores and coils applied to the cores, is impregnated with non-adhesive insulating resin and the resin is cured and, after the main part is housed in a case, the case is filled with filler. CONSTITUTION:A ballast main part, which is constituted by cores and coils applied to the cores, is impregnated with non-adhesive insulating resin and the resin is cured and, after the main part is housed in a case, the case is filled with filler. If the ballast main part is impregnated with the non-adhesive insulating resin, steel plates of which the cores are formed and the coils vibrate freely. Therefore, a part of the vibration energy is consumed by the free vibration so that the friction between the cores and distortion noise can be suppressed. Moreover, the ballet main part is housed in a case and the case is filled with resin. With this constitution, the propagation of the vibration to external lighting appliances can be blocked and the noise can be reduced sufficiently.</p> |
