PURPOSE:The titled composition suitable as exterior parts of automobiles, machines, etc., having improved heat stability, long-term physical properties, etc., obtained by blending a thermoplastic polyester with specific amounts of a specific phosphonite and a hindered phenolic compound. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. thermoplastic polyester (e.g. polyalkylene terephthalate such as polybutylene terephthalate, etc., totally aromatic polyester or polyester forming anisotropic melt phase) is blended with (A) 0.001-5pts.wt., preferably 0.01-1pt.wt. one or more phosphonites shown by the formula (R<1>-R<4> are 1-25C alkyl, etc.; R<5> is 4-33C alkyl, etc.) and (B) 0.001-5pts.wt., preferably 0.01-1pt.wt. hindered phenolic compound (e.g. 2,6-di-t-butyl-4-methylphenol, etc.). |
