APPARATUS FOR MEASURING POLARIZATION CURVE

PURPOSE:To accurately perform the measurement of the polarization curve of an earthed object to be measured regardless of the presence or absence of the connection of an external apparatus, by inserting a current-voltage converting reference resistor between a polarizing electrode and the opposed electrode while mounting a current detecting part for detecting a polarized current on the basis of the potential difference between both electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A specimen metal 1 has no potential difference because of the direct connection to an earthing point 10. The electrode potential of the specimen metal 1 to a reference electrode 2 is outputted to a potential output terminal 8 being the output of a potential detecting part 5 for measuring the potential of the earthing point 10 to the reference electrode 2. A current is flowed to an opposed electrode 3 in order to polarize the electrode potential of the specimen metal 1 to the value set by a potential setting circuit 7 and a current-voltage converting reference resistor 11 is inserted between a polarizing power source part 6 and the opposed electrode 3 while potential difference generated by the current flowing the reference resistor 11 is detected by a differential amplifier 12 to be outputted to a current output terminal 9. By this method, the polarization curve measurement of an earthed structure can be accurately performed regardless of the presence or absence of the connection of an external apparatus or induction noise.
