PURPOSE:To enhance the strength of a coating film formed by applying a composition on a base material and drying or baking the coating as well as the adhesion to the base material for improvement in the contact period when used as a releasing and lubricating agent, by suspending and dissolving a boron nitride powder, an organic silicon compound, and a surfactant in an org. solvent. CONSTITUTION:A boron nitride-contg. compsn. is prepared by dispersing and dissolving 100pts.wt. boron nitride powder, 10-150pts.wt. organosilicon compd., and 1-10pts.wt. surfactant in a org. solvent. Examples of the silicon compd. include silicone varnish of formula 1 [wherein R<1> is H or a (satd.) monovalent hydrocarbon; a and b are respectively 0<a<2 and 0.001<b<0.5] of which the MW is uncertain. The surfactant may be any of anionic, cationic, nonionic, and other surfactants. Any organic solvent may be used as far as it can dissolve the organosilicon compd., and examples thereof include dichloromethane, diethyl ether, toluene, and xylene. |
