PURPOSE:To obtain an optical transmission body which facilitates the incidence of inspection light and to easily constitute an optical inspection system for a surface type body by using a surface type light incidence part whose breadthwise part is flat to the overall length of the outer peripheral surface of a light transmission member. CONSTITUTION:The rod type light transmission member 51 of the optical transmission body consists of a transparent glass rod or plastic rod.
