PURPOSE:To improve moisture resistance, and to reduce the cracking of a sealing body by forming an opening section at a corner section, which is positioned on the outer circumferential section of a tab and to which thermal stress is easy to be concentrated particularly at the time of heating. CONSTITUTION:Hook-shaped slits 20 are shaped at the corner sections, four corners, of a tab 12, and the slits 20 correspond to opening sections. The slits 20 are formed, thus relaxing stress when stress works to the corner sections, then weakening force transmitted in the direction of a semiconductor chip 14. Sections unified at the positions of formation of the slits 20 in a sealing body 21 are enlarged, and unifying is reinforced. Since the positions of formation of the slits 20 are positioned at the corner sections of the tab 12 where thermal stress is concentrated maximally on mounting, the tab 12 is fixed firmly by the sealing body 21 even when the tab intends to be deformed, thus bringing the status in which the tab cannot be deformed. |
