PURPOSE:To obtain a device which accurately measures the flow rate of even liquid containing air bubbles by measuring the flow rate of the fluid from its temperature difference which is detected by temperature detectors at an entrance and an exit. CONSTITUTION:When part of main stream is sampled from the main steam piping of, for example, a nuclear power plant, etc., cooled, and condensed into water and its flow rate is measured, the temperature of water flowing in the piping 1 is set to about 25 deg.C and a thermostatic chamber 2 for preheating is held at about 35 deg.C. The water is preheated and the thermostatic chamber 3 is held at about 15 deg.C to perform the thermostatic chamber 3 is held at about 15 deg.C to perform cooling. The temperature of the water before it passes through the thermostatic chamber 3 is detected by the entrance-side temperature detector 4 and the temperature after it passes through the chamber is detected by the exit-side temperature detector 5, thereby measuring the temperature difference. Then, the flow rate of the water is found from the relation between the previously found temperature difference and flow rate to find the flow rate of the main steam. Therefore, even if the water to be measured contains air bubbles, the measurement results never become inaccurate owing to the sticking of the air bubbles on a float.
|
