PURPOSE:To simultaneously return new and old passbooks, by a method wherein a second feed path connecting a new passbook receiving part to the first feed path between a passbook feeding port and a printing part is provided and a feed part also having passbook pooling function separable from a feed driving source is formed to each of both feed paths. CONSTITUTION:When the old passbook A2 thrown in from a throw-in port 1 is detected, a first feed path 5 is driven. When it is necessary to issue a new passbook A1, feed rollers 5b, 5c are clutched off to be once pooled to the feed path 5 and the new passbook A1 from a new passbook receiving part 6 is delivered to the feed path 5 through a second feed path 7. Next, the feed rollers 5b, 5c are clutched on to feed both passbooks toward a printing part 4 and, subsequently, both feed paths 5, 7 are driven reversely to feed the old passbook A2 in the feed path 7 through a flapper 9 and a feed roller 7a is clutched off to be pooled. When the new passbook A1 is printed by a printer 3, the old passbook A2 is fed out to the feed path 5 and the feed path 5 is driven reversely to simultaneously return both passbooks A1, A2. By this method, trouble such that a customer forgets to take the passbooks can be eliminated. |
