The invention relates to a diazotype material for recording information. The aim and object comprise improving the use value properties by means of cyan couplers which have a high coupling activity and give cyan image dyes having an absorption maximum above 600 nm. According to the invention, the material contains cyan couplers of the formula <IMAGE> in which X<1> is CH, CR<1>, NH, NR<1>, O, S or Se, X<2> is CH, CR<1>, NH, NR<1>, N, O, S or Se, X<3> is CH, CR<1> or N, where either X<2> or X<3> is N, R<1> is H, alkyl having 1-12 carbon atoms, aryl having 6-18 carbon atoms, aralkyl having 7-24 carbon atoms, amino, carboxyl, carboxylate or part of an aromatic ring, R<2> is H, halogen, cyano, alkoxy, alkyl having 1-18 carbon atoms, nitro, amino, or substituted amino, R<3> is alkyl, substituted alkyl, aryl or substituted aryl.
