In a method for the production of clamping sleeves which consist of a piece of sheet metal cut off from a sheet-metal strip and bent into a C shape and have a chamfer at one end and a head bent around in the form of a collar at the opposite end, the invention envisages that the diameter of the sleeve be determined by the width of the sheet-metal strip and that the portion of sheet-metal strip be bent about a line running parallel to the rolling direction of the sheet-metal strip.
