The invention relates to a domestic mixing apparatus which is driven by an electric motor and has a mixing vessel which can be attached and has a metallic base (11) whose underneath rests flat on an annular surface of a hotplate in whose central region ventilator vanes (4) of a drive motor (2) rotate, cooling-air outlet cross-sections (10) being provided underneath the hotplate annular surface (6), and in the case of which the outer surface of the base (11) is scanned by a sensor head of a temperature control device; said invention proposes, in order to achieve accurate temperature regulation with a very simple construction, that the sensor head be designed as a bimetallic switch (21) and that its scanning point (P) be arranged in a plane which is at a completely specific distance from the upper edge (16) of the base (11). ……
