PURPOSE:To obtain the particulate powder of lamellate Ba ferrite which has large magnetization value and proper coercive force and also has proper average particle size and excellent temp. stability by heating and calcining the fine particles of lamellate Ba ferrite obtained by a hydrothermal synthesizing method under the presence of the mixture of specified flux. CONSTITUTION:(1) The fine particles of lamellate Ba ferrite are produced by subjecting the suspension of alkali ferric hydroxide contg. Ba ion to hydrothermal treatment at the temp. within the range of 150-330 deg.C. (2) The mixture of both the fine particles of lamellate Ba ferrite and flux consisting of sodium chloride and barium chloride or strontium chloride is heated and calcined at the temp. not less than m.p. of this flux. Then (3) the heated and calcined material is washed to remove the flux. As Fe(III) salt, iron nitrate and iron chloride, etc., can be used, and as Ba ion, barium hydroxide, barium chloride and barium nitrate, etc., can be used. |
