摘要 PURPOSE:To form a high-performance and non-coated material to be recorded both for a general use and for an ink jet recording which has a rapid ink absorption and forms a sharp image superior particularly in dot shape, by a method wherein voids, filler content, and Steckigt sizing degree have specific values, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A material to be recorded,having voids of 50% or less, a filler content of 10% or more as an ash content, and Steckigt sizing degree of 5sec or less, has a good ink absorption and imparts a superior dot shape and dot density by maintaining the voids low and the filler content high; a paper is difficult to prepare with low voids if it consists of a pulp having a low Schopper freeness. As the filler, clay, talc, titanium, calcium carbonate, etc. are used; it is preferable that the calcium carbonate is used and the content in a surface to be recorded is 10% or more. In addition, a cationic resin or a metallic solt such as Mg, Ca, and Al may be contained to provide a dye to water resistance as the material to be recorded for an ink jet recording and to improve dot density and high-accuracy properties.
