The invention relates to a composite material based on plastic and steel and its manufacturing processes. The panel 1 is composed of a slab of polyester laminate or polyester concrete, in which tensioning reinforcements 2 are embedded, the ends of which are fixed to two anchoring bars 3 and 4. The bar 3 is held fixed, whereas the bar 4 is subjected to a force along the arrows T, which generates the tensioning of the reinforcements 2. After connecting the reinforcements 2 of the panel 1, the tensions applied to the reinforcements 2 are transferred to the entire panel 1 by disconnecting the reinforcements 2 from the external tensioning system. Application: prestressed polyester panels for the manufacture of the walls of a swimming pool. <IMAGE>
