<p>PURPOSE:To control the meandering of a rolling material by detecting a load difference in the axial direction, a leveling difference, and an off-center of an upstream stand of continuous mill and correcting in sequence a wedging quantity and a leveling difference at the inlet of a downstream stand. CONSTITUTION:A load difference Pdf in the axial direction is detected by a load cell 1, a leveling difference Sdf is detected by a roll screw 2, and an off-center quantity deltaR is detected by an optical detector 3, in a roughing mill RS1 of continuous rolling mill, to obtain the wedging quantity Hdf<1> and the differential load Pddf of a finishing mill FS1 by a calculating means 4, and a correction leveling quantity Sdf<2> of the mill FS1 is given, together with a side guide load delta<1>, to a roll screw 2' by a calculating means 7. This correction can be separated to the next mill FS2. By these controls, the meandering of rolling material is correctingly controlled in a desirable state.</p> |
