PURPOSE:To stably set a gap depth within standards by burying one of two magnetic body members forming the gap of a magnetic head core chip in a slider body and arranging the other on the outside of the slider body and seeing the position of the gap depth apex from the external. CONSTITUTION:One of two magnetic body members forming the gap of a magnetic head core chip is buried in the slider body and the other is arranged on the outside of the slider body. For example, a C type core 12 and an I type 9 are joined to form a magnetic gap part 5 after the I type core 9 is buried in a slider 1. In another example, the I type core and the C type core are first joined to form the magnetic head core chip and the I type core or the C type core is buried in the slider.
