SLAKED LIME SOLUTION INJECTOR FOR ELEVATED TANK

PURPOSE:To maintain city water always at a specified pH value in an elevated tank and to assure stable water quality by stopping the injection of an aq. slaked lime soln. to a water receiving tank while the pumping up to the elevated tank is held stopped. CONSTITUTION:A city water feed pipe 1b is provided to the lower part of a slaked lime dissolving tank 1 and an aq. slaked lime soln. intake pipe 1C to the upper part thereof. The pipe 1C is led to the water receiving tank 4 for receiving the city water and the tank 4 is connected via a lifting pump 7 to the elevated tank 8 installed at a high place. The intake of the aq. slaked lime soln. is stopped by an intake stopping means consisting of a stop valve 3 while the pump 7 is held stopped. More specifically, the injection of the aq. slaked lime soln. to the water receiving tank is stopped as well during the stoppage of the water lifting to the elevated tank; therefore, the city water is maintained at the specified pH value at all times in the water receiving tank and stable water quality is assured.
