PURPOSE:To limit battery charging current to a maximum allowable charge current, by controlling regenerative energy within a limited amount. CONSTITUTION:In a power running mode, a speed command value is positive for forward rotation, and a servo-motor 9 is forwardly rotated, and the speed feedback signal of a tachometer generator 10 is also set to be a positive value. Voltage difference between the speed feedback signal and the output of a speed error amplifier 2 is smaller than the Zener voltage of a Zener diode ZD2, and therefore the output of the speed error amplifier 2 is transmitted to an operational amplifier 3, as it is. In deceleration mode the speed command value is reduced, and the absolute value of the feedback signal value of the tachometer generator 10 gets larger than the speed command value, and an arithmetic unit 1 and the speed error amplifier 2 produce negative outputs. The output of as current loop error amplifier 5 becomes negative too, and a power amplifier section 6 is set in a regeneration mode. The input of the operational amplifier 3 is clamped by a torque clamp circuit 11, and regenerative energy is clamped.
