The apparatus for spraying liquids comprises : an electrostatic spray head (2), high voltage means (24) for charging a liquid contact surface (18) to a sufficiently high voltage to intensify the electric field strength at the spraying site (16) in such a way that the liquid is drawn out preponderantly by electrostatic forces into at least one cone from which a ligament issues and breaks up into charged droplets, and means (36) for initiating curing of the droplets in flight.
