The invention relates to an adhesive bonding of two plastic parts enclosing a cavity, in particular a gate (lid) for the bodywork of a motor vehicle. The prior art had problems with excess adhesive, which escaped between the components and had to be removed by means of a cutting tool. The invention remedies this and permits a specific escape of the adhesive inwards or outwards, and easy manual pulling off of the escaped adhesive once it has set, since the special shaping of the plastic parts in the outer edge region with a groove and a projection engaging therein forms channels of differing cross-sectional width, so that the lower resistance causes the adhesive to escape inwards into the cavity in the case of one embodiment and outwards in the case of another embodiment, where it can then be easily pulled off manually according to the invention by means of a cutting edge, without a cutting tool. |
