<p>PURPOSE:To easily remove the contamination of an optical writing device and, at the same time, to eliminate the attachment and detachment of the device and to improve the operability, by exposing the light emitting surface of an optical writing device after a process unit is removed from the main body of an image forming device. CONSTITUTION:The process unit 8, in which a photosensitive drum 1, electrifier, and cleansing device are united integrally, is provided freely attachably and detachably on the main body of this device so that an optical writing deice 3 is arranged closely to the drum 1. When the optical writing deice 3 is cleaned, a front cover 9, to which a transfer device, fixing device, etc., are firmly fitted, is turned pivotally around a supporting shaft 12. When the unit 8 is removed, the light emitting surface of the optical writing device 3 is exposed, therefore, the light emitting surface can be easily cleaned. Moreover, since it is not necessary to attach or detach the optical writing device 3 to or from the main body, no damage and positional deviation take place and its operability is improved.</p> |
