PURPOSE:To absorb a return beam as well as to make a reflected beam restrainable, by supporting a return beam absorbing electrode on an accelerating electrode by means of a cylindrical insulator and plural bending metal fittings. CONSTITUTION:Since mutual alignment for a first grid 3 and a second grid (accelerating electrode) 4 must be done so exactly, positioning adjustment takes place with a special jig in advance and thereby clamping is carried out. And, at the time of mounting a return beam absorbing electrode 13, it is important that a precision positioning state for these first and second grids 3 and 4 is prevent from getting out of order. Next, one end of a bending metal fitting 15 is inserted into a hole of a peripheral cylindrical surface of a cylindrical insulator 14, and the other end of the metal fitting 15 is paced on such a position as each to be welded to the return beam absorbing electrode 13 or the second grid 4 at the next process. With this constitution, the return beam absorbing electrode 13 is made easily attachable to the second grid 4, so that a false signal attributable to a return beam is prevented from occurring, therefore such a fear that a ghost may apear on a screen is restrainable.
