PURPOSE:To prevent Salmonella infectious disease, by administering a preventive consisting of an inactivated Salmonella mold and streptomycin or a salt thereof continuously. CONSTITUTION:A preventive for Salmonella infectious disease consisting of an inactivated Salmonella mold and 1-100wt% based on the mold of streptomycin or a salt thereof. Salmonella infectious disease is prevented by continuously and orally administering the preventive every day, preferably for >=a week. The preventive may be added to feeds or foods. Referring to a dose, the amount of the inactivated mold is at least 2mg/day/kg (calculated as wet mold amount) and the amount of streptomycin is 1-100wt% based on the inactivated mold. Solution, powder, granule, tablet, coated tablet, capsule, pill, etc., may be cite as the dosage form. Toxicity is hardly observed and side effects are also hardly produced because the amount of streptomycin used is extremely small.
