The screening device contains a filling hopper (24) for introducing the material. A conveyor belt (26) runs on the bottom of the filling hopper (24). The conveyor belt (26) projects into a screening drum (38) which is driven by a hydraulic motor (70). The material is transported through the screening drum (38) by means of a helical entraining strip (74). Fine-grained constituents of the material fall onto a conveyor belt (76) running below the screening drum (38) and are discharged laterally via transversely running conveyor belts (78). Coarse constituents of the material are discharged at the rear end of the screening drum (38) via a conveyor belt (106). ……
