PURPOSE:To divide a lane even at unequal intervals optionally with a simple constitution by generating a reference clock pulse by a pulse generating means and successively integrating these clock pulses. CONSTITUTION:A pulse generating means 14 which generates the reference clock pulse, a counter means 12 which successively integrates these clock pulses to count them, a storage means (PROM) 15 to which the counted value of the means 12 is inputted as the address signal, and a scan start signal detecting means (reference position detector) 11 which detects coming of light beams to a reference scanning position to output a scan start signal are provided. Data '0' or '1' is preliminarily written in each address of the means 15. When data, for example, '1' is read out in the course where data is read out from respective address of the means 15 on a basis of the counted value of the means 12, a lane dividing signal is generated.
