PURPOSE:To facilitate operating a device normally even if there is a defect in a driver circuit element for a group of thin film transistors by arranging two such circuit elements on both ends of an insulating substrate so that they can alternatively be connected to the group of transistors. CONSTITUTION:As circuit driven elements, two IC chips 34a and 34b are provided on both ends of a device, i.e. of its insulating substrate 30, and either chip 34a or 34b is alternatively connected to a group 32 of thin film transistors. For instance, even if a defect, operation failure, defective bonding or the like is found in one of the IC chips 34a and 34b, the device can be operated normally by connecting the normal IC chip 34a or 34b to the group 32 of the thin film transistors so that the yield can be improved. |
