DELTA <2>-1,2,4-Triazolin-5-one derivatives represented by the general formula, <IMAGE> (wherein R is a hydrogen atom; an alkali metal atom; a quaternary ammonium salt; an unsubstituted- alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; a substituted-alkyl group having halogen atoms as the substituents; an unsubstituted cycloalkyl group; a substituted-cycloalkyl group having halogen atoms as the substituents; an alkenyl group; an alkynyl group; a lower alkoxyalkyl group; a lower alkylthioalkyl group; a lower alkylsulfinylalkyl group; a lower alkylsulfonylalkyl group; a lower alkoxyalkoxyalkyl group; a lower alkoxycarbonylalkyl group; a hydroxycarbonylalkyl group; and unsubstituted-benzyl group; a substituted-benzyl group having 1 to 2 substituents selected from the group consisting of a halogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a lower alkoxy group, a nitro group, a lower alkoxycarbonyl group, a hydroxycarbonyl group and a phenoxy group; alpha -methylbenzyl group or a phenethyl group). The DELTA <2>,1 ,2,4-triazolin-5-one derivatives are useful as herbicides. |
